چکیده

Abstract We update Halo Zeldovich Perturbation Theory (HZPT, [1]), an analytic model for the two-point statistics of dark matter, to describe halo and galaxy clustering, galaxy-matter cross-correlation on nonlinear scales. The correcting has Fourier transform, therefore is valid in both configuration space space. accurate at 2%-level or less P_mm (k< 1 h/Mpc), P_hm P_hh 2 P gm gg ξ mm (r> Mpc/h), hm hh LRG-like mock galaxies. show that HZPT matter correlators can account effects a wide range baryonic feedback models provide two extended which are 1% (3%) accuracy k < 10 (8) h/Mpc. explicitly non-perturbative features exclusion halo-halo galaxy-galaxy correlators, as well presence satellites correlation functions. perform density estimation using N-body simulations HOD mocks obtain correlations parameters with cosmological Ω m σ 8 . fast, interpretable, combined-probe analyses redshift surveys scales into non-linear regime.

Probing Baryons in Galactic Halos and Gas Near Galaxies

We describe an extensive FUSE survey of highly ionized oxygen in the vicinity of the Milky Way that serves as an example of the type of study that would be desirable for other galactic systems. Understanding the origin of hot gas in the vicinity of galaxies and its relationship to the intergalactic medium presents a major observational challenge. Ultraviolet absorption-line spectroscopy is curr...

Quenched chiral perturbation theory for baryons.

We develop chiral perturbation theory for baryons in quenched QCD. Quenching (the elimination of diagrams containing virtual quark loops) is achieved by extending the Lagrangian method of Bernard and Golterman, and is implemented in a theory where baryons are treated as fixed velocity sources. Our method requires that the octet baryons be represented by a three index tensor rather than by the u...

Analytic Perturbation Theory Model for QCD and Upsilon Decay

An elegant and more precise (Denominator) formula for the 3-loop perturbative QCD coupling is discussed. It improves the common expression (e.g., canonized by PDG) in few GeV region. On its base, we propose simple analytic Model for ghostfree QCD running couplings and their effective powers within the Analytic Perturbation Theory, in both the space-like (Euclidean) and time-like (Minkowskian) r...

Baryons in Partially-Quenched Chiral Perturbation Theory

The motivation for including baryons into partially-quenched QCD (PQQCD), or more specifically partially-quenched chiral perturbation theory (PQχPT), is clear. One wishes to take partially-quenched (PQ) lattice simulations of observables of interest that in the foreseeable future will be performed with quark masses that are heavier than those of nature, and make rigorous predictions for these o...

An analytic model for the epoch of halo creation

In this paper we describe the Bayesian link between the cosmological mass function and the distribution of times at which isolated halos of a given mass exist. By assuming that clumps of dark matter undergo monotonic growth on the timescales of interest, this distribution of times is also the distribution of 'creation' times of the halos. This monotonic growth is an inevitable aspect of gravita...
